Strengthening Biodiversity Conservation in Malawi Through Establishment of Other Effective Conservation Measures (OECMs)

Establish and operationalize a network of OECMs in Malawi covering at least 100,000 hectares of ecologically and culturally significant areas, benefiting 20,000 local people (50% women), while securing biodiversity, ecosystem services, and resilient community livelihoods in line with Malawi’s NBSAP Target 2 and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) 30x30 target.
