Ainur Khaliolayeva

Ainur recently completed her master’s degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Prior to that, she worked as a photojournalist for UNDP Kazakhstan, covering events and projects funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). Ainur provided photo-coverage for the CEO visit in Kazakhstan in 2024. She spent over three years working in journalism in Kazakhstan as both a journalist and photojournalist, as well as in the education non-profit sector.

Ainur holds a bachelor’s degree in meteorology and has a deep passion for the natural world, especially exploring the breathtaking mountains of Central Asia. Ainur joined the GEF as a Communications Intern, where she brings together her passions for environmental science and multimedia.
