Eli Marie Hindahl

Eli Marie is a Junior Professional Officer from Norway. She joined the Global Environment Facility in 2024 to support the plastics portfolio at the GEF, including the intergovernmental negotiations to establish a new plastics instrument.

Prior to joining the GEF, Eli Marie worked on plastics policy in the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment and was part of the Norwegian delegation to the plastics negotiations. She has also worked on development statistics, advocacy and program management in Norad, civil society, and the Financial Mechanism for the European Economic Area Grants.

She has a master’s degree in political science from the University of Oslo, and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Essex.
