Jonathan Caldicott

Jonathan is the Manager of the Operations and Policy Division at the Global Environment Facility Secretariat, overseeing a team of professionals responsible for project and program reviews, portfolio operations and management, results monitoring and reporting, and the development and upkeep of GEF operational policies and guidelines.

He joined the GEF in 2019 from the World Bank, where he worked on global and regional partnerships, with a focus on climate finance. In addition to work with the GEF and multilateral development banks, he has managed Canadian bilateral development assistance programs in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.

He has economics degrees from McGill and Queen’s Universities, has two children, and enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and being outdoors as much as possible.
