Sumeet Kaur

Sumeet Kaur joined the GEF in March 2025 to lead resource mobilization for the Global Biodiversity Framework Fund (GBFF).

Prior to this, Sumeet was at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for 12 years. Most recently in the Partnerships & Blended Finance Department, she served as a Global Relationship Manager for a portfolio of sovereign and private philanthropic partners, and as the Climate Anchor to develop and coordinate implementation of IFC’s corporate-wide climate fundraising strategy. Her previous roles at IFC were in the Development Impact and Inclusive Business Departments. Earlier in her career, Sumeet worked in healthcare consulting for eight years.

Sumeet holds an MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a BA from Macalester College. A citizen of the United States, she lived in seven countries before settling in Washington, DC.
