Wanderson Batista Roldao

Wanderson is an Operations Officer in the Operations and Policy Division at the Global Environment Facility. In this role, he focuses on reviewing projects and programs, ensuring compliance with GEF operational policies and guidelines, and assisting in the implementation of these policies across various digital platforms.

He joined the GEF in 2024 from the World Bank Group in Washington, DC, where he provided technical and operational assistance to the Financial Intermediary Fund Secretariats, including the GEF, by defining and identifying use cases to establish business requirements. Wanderson has over 15 years of experience in business operations and information technology, with a career spanning the GEF, the World Bank, and the private sector across North, Central, and South America.

Wanderson holds a master’s degree in business administration from INCAE Business School and a bachelor’s degree in computing. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, running outdoors, playing soccer, and music.
